Whilst on a sick day from work yesterday (4/10/06), I happened-upon the Sky Sports programme 'Watersports World'. Covering 'this year's Tiree Wave Classic'.

"Nice one" I thought. I made myself a cup of tea and sat down to watch some quality wave sailing from Messers Skye, Profitt and co. After the full 10-minute coverage, I felt a little short-changed so went on to the official TWC web site and discovered that 'this year's' event hasn't even started yet!!!

Had I found myself in some sort of James T Kirk-like timewarp (I had watched a couple of classic Star Treks during the day but maybe it was the small fever I was running) or could it possibly be that my TV was a) a year out of date or b) lying to me?

Surely not and if so, does anyone know where we'll be able to see some action this year (or maybe it will be next year- have to find that time warp again...time for another day off?)
