Hi,

I broke my 4m90 North mast (drop shape race 100% carbon) this afternoon.

I used it with a 50 cm carbon X.tender to rig a 2005 10.20 Daytona sail. North Sails recommends this combination in the context of their minimum.mast concept.

The wind was 10-12 knots, flat water conditions (I was riding a AHD 945 formula board).

The mast broke when I was sailing (my weight is 68 kg).

I am curious about other occurences of this type of incident (North mast broken with a 50 cm carbon X.tender).

Rigging a 10.20 cm sail on a 4.90 cm mast might be imposing too much stress on the mast?
