I have just purchased powerex RDM mast and found myself bit concerned about clearance of the mast extension in the mast base.I have measured extension outer diamiter which is 32mm , the mast base inner diameter is 32.8mm.
I don't have experience with RDM masts ,but it seems bit big clerance compared with SDM mast /extension setup.

Could you ,please tell your opinin on this issue.Is it acceptable clearance? or should I by different extension.

i have one masts (RDM) and my chinook exts are the same but probably abit bigger gap, it doesnt really matter it makes no difference to rigging or how it sails, i wouldn't worry about it to be honest, i dont! a plus side, at least the ext cant get stuck in the mast!!
