Hi All,
I was just wondering had anyone been to sotavento in june?
It's supposed to be choppy, but I'm not sure how choppy.
I'm assumimg it is better for blasting some days, and bump and jump on others..
Please give my tell me of your experinces

its all over the place depending on the tide height and slight changes in wind direction. But overall I would say its usually pretty flat because of the offshore wind. There are normally small waves that come in, so not really bump and jump, just jump.. but you have to go downwind to hit them hah.

The main thing to remember is that usually if its windy (it is in June) then its f***ing windy and you will be on 3.7. So thats why its gets choppy. Its quite an intense place to sail and can get frustrating easily.

so I'm guessing I'll probably be going for 100L boards and less
I don't get out on anything that small very often, I' dont even own a 4.0

yeah go for 100l or less,unless you are a big guy then maybe 110.

Same applies for sail size, but I would take small sizes.

Its a perfect holiday if you just want to be able to sail with shit loads of wind, but more than 2 weeks is too much.

Although I though you had some decent wind in the Uk at the moment??

Yeah, I'm going for two weeks so I should be alright.
Yeah theres loads of wind here in ireland at the moment, I haven't gotten out much unfortunately due to school exams, so I'll be dying for some good windsurfing, by the time I get there..
