Why not try x-fire? I have a feeling these "in between boards" are just marketing....why not a slalom board with an appropriate fin?by Vitez - ASK A CLONE
I'm also thinking between Fanatic Eagle 100L and Tabou Manta 100L and the thing that bothers me with full slalom boards is that they "don't work" well on small wave sails....you need cambers. Any comments regarding this?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I think if you r aiming for 150-170 than it's too early to buy. I'd go for 120-130L.....by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I noticed on some pictures that Victor Fernandez has very low boom.....by Vitez - ASK A CLONE
What about NS air? Is it appropriate for what's he looking for?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Jan, Can we apply these guidelines also to a slalom board?by Vitez - ASK A CLONE
Do they have JP PRO boards as well as slalom gear? They don't have a webpage, what about the prices?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
so you just choose Windsurf center first and then you find the nearest hostel?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
huh no way. i don't like computers just some important email so send.....i rather look at the sea than use a pc. anyway sounds great. ok that's even better. so gc how much does 1 week or 2 weeks of sleeping in hostel cost? (one with an air condition!)by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
don't quite understand the English here.... so for blasting you want the board to be/feel stiff? never sailed a carbon board but people are saying blasting is better on a glass fiber board.by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
so do you actually think it's a good idea to go to Dahab without reserved place to stay?? can you please use Euros for prices.... sounds great! do they have PCs to rent as well? I don't have a laptop....by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
check out what Bob wrote on previous page....by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
hei guys, I'm going to Dahab this August probably last 2 week of August and I was thinking about some cheap place to stay instead of hotel. I heard they have "small houses" which you can rent there. So does anyone know about cheap place to sleep in Dahab?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I think it was said in this topic that it's about the air maneuverability that you really gain.... If your are lifting a barbell it won't be any lighter if you weigh more....by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
hei Tommy =) I went to Maroco where I rent fanatic boards and it was pretty windy from over powered 4.5 to 6.4 So it's actually pretty simple. If you are around 80kg your best choice is 95-100 freewave or FS board with freewave fin. I tried 85-95 and 105 and the best was 95 but culd use a bit more volume so 100L is still a great board. Yes the trick is to get a bigger board but then youby Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I think life is easier if you simply buy JP quad which is also a twinfin.... Guys take whatever time you need....as long as it's a honest test!by Vitez - ASK A CLONE
What about the Ion open palm gloves?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I'm actually pretty decisive in real life however not quite rich so that's what the forums are for. I got different advice from different people: wider 80L wave board, FSW 85, FSW95 and you can't really borrow (new) stuff. On the other hand it was suggested to you quite a few times to visit a hooker.....have you? Anyway I have a good feeling about this Kode86 board. I'll probably have it byby Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
lol Hot Ice I'm sure you are a fan of my topics =) I really appreciate your advice guys. I guess it's still the Kode86 with 2 fins 25 wave and 28 xover. Any ideas what's the max speed limit of the kode86 board on flat/choppy water with 6.0?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Well I don't know about Koster and I don't want to know why he chose quads. I would not compare myself to a pro and the conditions where he sails are very different than mine. It's more like overpowered 6.0 and as for 4.7 I sail most of the time. Based on that it's the kode86. The Salesman suggested in another topic to add 28 crossover fin to kode86 when using 6.0 It's something like that:by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Hi guys, heh nice debate So I've been asking a lot on forums regarding which board to buy and looks like I'm faking but I'm not. Going to buy one pretty soon. What I had in mind was Quad81 carbon vs Quad convertible which is around 0.8kg heavier. The convertible would be my all in one board since I only have a wave board that has no future (described below) and cash for only 1 board.by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Just wondering how do manufactures specify weight - with foot straps on or off? Does 0.80kg heavier board mean lot's of disadvantages?by Vitez - GENERAL DISCUSSION
hah Hot Ice thank you for buying my shit =) I got better at controlling my 78L and is great but still......if underpowered 4.7 and unsteady wind I'd be much better off with a bit bigger and wider board specially when sailing upwind. At 55cm wide it's great for overpowered 4.7 and 4.2 but for weaker winds I need another board......2 boards and 3 sails I don't think that's too much gear....by Vitez - ASK A CLONE
Business is businesses - it's all about the marketing. I don't believe the Kode is much better than other boards cause it has pretty common shape. If you want a board that is extremely different it would make sense that it had to be much different in shape as well.... I think that if people would demand just multifing boards there wouldn't be anyone selling single fin even if single fin wouldby Vitez - ASK A CLONE
I totally get it it's just that it's a very specific question and obviously clones don't want to participate in this thread (just because I'm black). I'd just like to say that 5.9 and 6.1 doesn't sound like much of a difference. I'd choose Icon for no particular reason. So you too don't like 4.2 with 86L kode hmmm. Which FSW board for 4.2 and 4.7 then?? Don't know how much do you weigh bby Vitez - ASK A CLONE
It clearly says on Kode page it goes from 4.0 to 6.0. Ideal is probably 4.4 to 5.8 And if you have 6.1 and it blows for 4.7 you won't plain faster just because you have too big sail. Your question sounds like you are a plain beginner, no offense. If you sail only 5.0 and up you should buy a bigger board like 100L IMO.by Vitez - ASK A CLONE
He is thinking about a twin now after he bought the Kode?by Vitez - ASK A CLONE
