If you are looking for a challenge and are thinking about coming down towards Hayling over the easter weekend then on good Friday, HISC are hosting the annual round Hayling windsurf race and sup fest. The organisers have put the start time back to high tide so that competitors have more chance of a good time as the entrance to LangstoneHarbour will have the water all flowing in the right direcby lostbuoy - GENERAL DISCUSSION
110 starters, 9 all the way round about 10 at the ferry boat and 10 at northeny.........many rescued off the Thorney shore!!!! totally mental. Windy start with 45+ knots coming through great pics around, experiences had by all from the competitors, rescue and myself and other orgainiser.......ho hum, next year might be in June......WATCH THIS SPACE. ..............only 25 spots left. if you fancy turning up on the day be warned that there will be 150 spaces intotal for the event so if these 25 go before Wednesday night your out! Come down anyway to watch we have the paddleboard racing happening close to the club or perhaps you could cycle round whilst others sail. Watch from the ferryboat inn or maybe hang at the club. Well feels like I am just updating you soldiers on events but things are looking promising for Friday. There is gonna be some wind, where from I am not sure but there is wind around. Might be wet, but who knows. Putting the final touches on the whole affair now ready for Friday. If you are planning a late entry on the day it is possible but first come first served. CLUB VASS ROUND HAYLING ISLAND RACE 2010. VENUE HISC. DATE 2/4/10 30 years have passed since the conception of this once great race, and in 2009 HISC in collaboration with Club Vass Holidays have pieced together a revival. Once again for 2010 Club Vass and HISC have teamed up to lay on a great day that will also include a race!
