Yes, hurts doesn't it. I have had it for about 3yrs and it's made worse by not wearing boots in the winter. I have had open sores in these areas more on than off throughout this time. My only suggestions are: 1. check your footstraps, I was using DaKine molded straps - these have a stiff plastic edge which rub badly after a year.
