well if its onshore your mainly looking at then the twinfin option is going to be better for you. Easy boards to sail and alot more common than quad fins so you wont have to break the bank to acquire one. The quad fins are also a much more technical board to sail. The fanatic twins are an awesome board, the RRDs are good, Quatros obviously. Have a look at the old tests. But splashing out on a quaby eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION

Hey, i dont know much about the fins them selves i use the standard fanatic ones and those k4 jobbies but here is a bit of blurb from MFC "Twin fin concept, one full year of research and development by MFC together with Kauli Seadi and Keith Teboul, 2 of the most radical wave sailors in the world. This model comes from the outline of the EIGHT, and it has a LEFT and RIGHT fin. In fact itby eddy931 - ASK A CLONE
Hi there, The skate is an excellent board, its fast and rotates really well but the team edition boards are made of cheese. They are really light and look awesome but not too strong. The best board you can find to learn freestyle on are the pre 2010 RRD Twintips affectionately named cheat sticks. The 2008 and 2009 versions are super easy to freestyle rrd made basically a self spocking board. Fby eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I have a 2010 79 NewWave twin going for 900 only been used three times, has a small repair on the nose which has been professionally done. only selling to upgrade to a quad.by eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
You need to remember if you are just eating carbs you wont necessarily recover. the suppliment market isnt a multi billion dollar industry because it doesnt work. basically and protein based suppliment with creatine and a bowl of pasta will keep you right as rain. try and get it down you as soon as possible after sailing and stay well hydrated, thats the key to great sucess!!!by eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I think that theory about ally extensions not bending is wrong, has anybody ever actually bend tested the 2 types of extension under load? carbon fibre is generally used as it is a lighter stiffer material. if you look at a ally and a carbon extension then you will see the wall of the extension is the same thickness so if anything surely it is the carbon one that would not bend inside the mast. Hey buddy, i reckon 16 is a little excessive, its not a migic fix but it certainly helps. i think go for about a 17-18 cm fin to start. freestyle fins tend to shrink as you smash them on rocks anyway.by eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Does anybody know whether the the fanatic quad will be a convertible or not? Also what sizes they will be bringing out? Cheers Edby eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Hi, from there i think camber sands is your best bet, i have a friend who sails there alot and says its pretty good. Edby eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Hi, i have use the simmer on a tushingham mast and it does work but when you change to a no limits or a simmer mast the sail feels so much better, ie firmer and alot more powerful. tushingham masts have a decent 2nd hand price on them so you could just trade up to a no limits. Im going to pozo in early july and have the fanatic 79 twin which comes with 16cm fins im wondering what fins to get as a smaller set. What do people reckon to these Maui Ultra Fins, they look an odd shape, maybe wont work on more turbulant conditions. i will be taking 5.0 to 3.7, 72kgsby eddy931 - ASK A CLONE
Where do people go to sell their kit nowadays? Since i dont much like paying ebay costs and that other website with a free classifieds section has changed hands im stuck for options. Cheers, Edby eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
yer, sell them out there and buy some new ones when you get back.by eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Alright guys, heres a question. Is it beneficial to offset your twin fins to affect your bottom turns/top turns differently? what happens if you put one forward and one slightly further back?by eddy931 - ASK A CLONE
as you pop the board move your back hand back and give the sail the mother hubbard of all pumps and then release. that will anchor the board. also keep your body weight over the board and forward.by eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I reckon your bets bet would be the Quattro Tempo which is designed to sail the euro mush it sounds like you get where you are. its also supposed to be pretty quick. I really dont think youre going to notice much difference in the weights between boards if your just at the learning carve gybe stage, so dont worry too much about that. Its about the difference between going for a large dump andby eddy931 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Just buy a skate, the new ones are unbelieveably sick.by eddy931 - ASK A CLONE
