I have not ridden the Futura, faster yes, that is what the reports say. Bought my 1st of 2 new boards this year 2011 121 Starboard Carve Technora Got to sail it with a 7.4 yesterday in some flat to small 2 ft chop for 1 hour. I am no expert and have only rode a few boards in my years of sailing buy here is what I thought that first hour. I am 56 yrs old weigh 235lbs with wetsuit on, the 121 ltr floated me well right off the top and seem to get up and plane ok , cby mikeo - ASK A CLONE

The new FSWs are amazing, their shortness and curved plan shape make them looser, more fun and better in the air than our previous FSWs and this width also makes them very stable and gives them a wider wind range. Looking to buy a new board this year has anyone tried a 2012 RRD Freewave and would like to report on it? The 102ltr since I am a heavy weight. New shape this year wider and shorter. My choices I think are the Goya 1 104ltr and the RRD Not too much has been said about them except the adds. I sail the Gorge at the more tame spots like to get an opinion of someone in the know.
